I took a ride into town this weekend with my buddy Bawb to see a friend's open house at his gallery and workshop. His name is Mike Ulman, and he has got to be one of the most talented people I have ever met. His work is absolutely stunning. The things he can make out of complete junk is mind boggling and his attention to detail is out of this world. I could only hope to have a fraction of his talent. He's a super nice guy to boot!

15 years of service for the company I work for, and this little mechanical marvel is my reward. We had a nice fancy dinner and then the longtime service gifts were handed out. I opted out of the standard Movados/Citizens and asked ahead of time if I could pick something different. This was my choice. It's a Marathon MSAR automatic, with an ETA 2824 movement, tritium markers, and good for 300 meters (1000 feet). Pretty much built like a tank and the reason the U.S. and Canadian government choose the SAR watches for some of their teams. I also own a quartz version, the TSAR. Awesome watches for the money.
